Busch Gardens Williamsburg is a theme park located near Williamsburg, Virginia. The park first opened in 1975 adjacent to the Anheuser Busch brewery. Busch Gardens Williamsburg has a large European theme, and in the past has been called Busch Gardens: The Old Country and Busch Gardens Europe.
Sections of Busch Gardens Williamsburg are sectioned off and decorated to resemble various countries located throughout Europe. Each country zone has special attractions or rides which are named and themed after the country. The European country’s represented in Busch Gardens Williamsburg are England, Scotland, Ireland, Italy, Germany, and France.

Busch Gardens has 25 rides in total, which includes 6 roller coasters and 3 water rides. Some of the roller coasters at Busch Gardens are considered hyper roller coasters because of their maximum speeds, giant sharp drops, and twists and turns.

Another popular attraction and Busch Gardens is Jack Hanna’s wild ride. On this ride, Busch Gardens visitors can see multiple bald eagles and wild wolves which are housed and cared for on site at Busch Gardens.

The popular Anheuser Busch Clydesdales are also held at Busch Gardens. These horses are held in stables in the Scotland section of the park, but they also spend much time grazing in open fields located throughout the park.

Take a trip through history and visit the colonial city of Williamsburg, Virginia. This town attracts many visitors each year due to its historical atmosphere. Whether you are taking a family vacation, or taking your children on a learning adventure, there is something for everyone to do here.
Williamsburg gives visitors the opportunity to see the way our country was in its beginning stages. As you take a walk through the town, you will see various costumed actors, made-up to look like our country’s important and historical figures. There are several buildings that have been there since the beginning, and many others that have been refurbished but are still on the original foundation. Visit the many shops, historical houses and museums containing antiques from colonial times. See the gardens and animals that help recreate this town to look authentic. Throughout the day, many programs take place. You can learn how to dance as they did then, or witness a reenacted witch trial.

The greater Williamsburg area offers many other attractions as well. Visit one of the several golf courses or take a trip to a spa that combines modern technology and botanicals that have been used since colonial times. Visit colonial Williamsburg and have an unforgettable vacation.

The best restaurants in Williamsburg revolve around the city’s central attraction, Colonial Williamsburg, which attracts record numbers of tourists to the area. This boom in commerce has given way to a lively gastronomical community rich with interesting restaurants to fit every occasion.
A six minute drive from Colonial Williamsburg is the Food For Thought Restaurant. The menu focuses on simple, classic ideas without much clutter. Food For Thought mixes complex mental insight with simple, delicious food.
Further away, about a sixteen minute drive from the living history museum, is Giuseppe’s Italian Restaurant. For the level of skill involved in making such lovely dishes and presenting them with impeccable service, the pricing is quite reasonable.
The family owned and operated Fat Canary restaurant located just five minutes away from Colonial Williamsburg in historic Merchant’s Square. The menu is seasonal and mixes traditional Italian ingredients with the charm and ease of the owning family.
Second Street Restaurant, a family owned American bistro style restaurant, focuses on high quality ingredients with friendly, memorable service. Just five minutes from the city’s main attraction, Second Street is as convenient as it is delicious.
For a casual meal in a sports fan friendly atmosphere, Paul’s Deli is the perfect place for you. A menu that will make your entire family happy and prime location just five minutes from Colonial Williamsburg make Paul’s Deli a winner.

Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia is an exciting theme park which has many different exciting roller coasters. One of the best roller coasters at Busch Gardens is the Loch Ness Monster. This steel based ride was first opened 30 years ago, but is still a fan favorite today. The Loch Ness Monster has a maximum height of 130 feet and a max speed of 60 miles per hour. This ride also contains a 114 foot drop. Compared to other roller coasters, the 2 minute and 10 second ride is quite long.
Another excellent ride at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg is Apollo’s Chariot. This ride, which was built in 1999, is characterized by its 210 foot drop and max speed of 73 miles per hour. The ride lasts for about 2 minutes and 15 seconds and due to its purple and yellow steel, it is easily recognizable throughout the park.

The newest hit roller coaster at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg is Grover’s Alpine Express. This ride was just completed in April 2009. This ride is considered a junior roller coaster which is ideal for young kids and people who do not like being inverted. This ride moves quick and has some sharp turns.
